Revolution as Self-Transformation
In Kebtah, we have a saying: “Revolution starts with the self.” This simple quote encapsulates a powerful concept that can transform one's perspective on life. You see, society often imposes grandiose notions that we can/should “change the world” or “save the planet”, However, in reality, the only thing you can change or save is yourself. The state of a society is really a reflection of the internal state of all those who make up a society. We don’t have to look far in the modern world to see that there is something very wrong with the internal state of the general population. If everyone worked on themselves instead of directing their attention outwards toward their peers, political charades, Hollywood, trends, religion, etc., there would be a complete elevation in how our society and world as a whole function. When you work to improve, balance and know yourself, not only does your light begin to cast out darkness, but you serve as a catalyst for others around you to also evolve and do the same type of inner work, self reflection and self correction.
