The Maakheru, Neb Naba Lamoussa Morodenibig, once said that the land we belong to (Meritah) is so vast, no matter how far you walk, you cannot reach the end, but if your heart is in the right place, wherever you turn will be your home. This quote from the Maakheru strikes deep because it goes beyond our beloved land to the soil in which our family tree grows and the roots that are our ancestors. The taller the tree, the deeper its roots, the broader the tree, the wider the branches of its roots. Our ancestral spirits and powers are so vast and without end, but if our heart is in the right place, they bestow their guidance, protection, and power to achieve our destinies and what you are set out to do.
